Anti Age Bio Light Protection
One of the main causes of ageing is skin damage caused by exposure to strong UV rays. That's why sunscreens need to be saturated with valuable skin rejuvenating, skin conditioning ingredients. Super antioxidants are essential to counteract the damaging effects of the sun on DNA. Find out more!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIGHT PROTECTION
Modern sunscreens are made up of a base formulation and an added specific sunscreen component. There are 4 forms of cosmetic sun protection:
- natural protection
- cellular protection
- physical light protection
- chemical light protection
Really good sunscreen rejuvenates and regenerates the skin with cellular protection.
Herbal active ingredients that support natural protection help to promote the even production of photoprotective brown melanin and reduce the production of harmful photo-aggressive melanin. These include Tomato Extract, Anatto Extract, Carrot Extract, Mimosa Extract, Redbud Extract, Jericho Rose Extract and Red Algae Extract.
Cellular protection protects cellular DNA and vital cellular components, while stimulating the cells' natural defensive responses - which is why the ingredients that make up a sunscreen cosmetic are so important.
Physical sunscreen prevents UV rays from reaching the skin, while chemical sunscreen seeks to counteract the harmful effects of light that reaches the skin.
Why are chemical sunscreens dangerous?
Chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays, but they are usually absorbed into the skin and may also enter the bloodstream. So their ability to absorb UV rays is also harmful. The energy absorbed is released by the molecule in the form of lower energy photons and/or reacts with other molecules in the environment. This leads to the production of harmful by-products such as free radicals. This happens inside the skin and the by-products produced can damage the skin, cause irritation, photo-sensitisation and increase the risk of skin cancer. In some experiments, it has also been shown to damage the liver, and in animal studies, a hormone-like side effect has been observed. One of the most common forms (OMC) has also been detected in breast cancer cells in the same form as in common sunscreens: Octyl Methoxycinnamate (OMC), Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Benzophenone, Oxybenzone.
SAFE, BENEFICIAL SUNSCREENS
Physical sunscreens offer a natural and safe alternative. Their active ingredients are extremely finely powdered minerals (zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide), which form a protective layer on the skin's surface and reflect and scatter UV rays.
Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide minerals have long been used in the cosmetic industry because they are safe and do not irritate even sensitive skin. Moreover, zinc oxide is specifically skin-protective and soothing. Titanium dioxide blocks UVB rays and the short wavelength range of UVA (UVA-2). Zinc oxide protects over a very broad spectrum, reflecting/scattering both UVB and UVA rays. These solids, however, form a white coating on the skin and are therefore often applied to the skin in the form of micronised particles, because they form a barely/not-white layer.
A very important consideration here is that if the micronised form is nanoparticles, it can already be absorbed through the skin and nano titanium dioxide poses a serious health risk.
What is really good mechanical light protection?
State-of-the-art biotechnological developments have led to the creation of an advanced physical sunscreen complex in which titanium dioxide and zinc oxide microparticles are coated on non-nano - titanium dioxide and zinc oxide microparticles using a special dispersion technique. The result is a physical sunscreen that does not leave a white coating on the skin and is completely safe for the human body because it is not absorbed through the skin, but it also protects against the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays.
The sunscreen complexes we use are valuable active ingredients approved by BIO certifications.
Our cosmetics are complex and intensive active ingredients that are able to fully absorb into the skin and, with their cellular regenerating effects, really help us to keep our skin healthy and beautiful for a long time.
