Skincare misconceptions
Thanks to the powerful and profit-driven marketing effects, many misconceptions have become ingrained in our public consciousness. Unfortunately, these misconceptions can mislead us and make our daily lives more difficult. Correct information and clarity can help to weed them out.
What are these misconceptions ?
- the cosmetics are effective if they are advertised as "super effective" with expensive advertising - because then they must have money for product development...
- the beautiful and expensive packaging hides an excellent product
- all cosmetics that are advertised as natural and organic are natural
- the cosmetics that make my skin beautiful can't hurt me
- the cosmetics that are expensive and "branded" are the ones that are effective and reliable
- young skin is not worth caring for - it will be enough when you need it...
- multinational companies - because they are big and have a long history - can be trusted
- all natural cosmetics are similar
- biotechnological substances are all harmful
- what is natural is always good for your health
Unfortunately, we are confronted with misconceptions like these every day, which are not true if we look deeper.
As long as the primary goal of most market players is to make the highest possible profit - (to make the most profit with the least investment) - we should be very sensible and gather as much information as possible about the cosmetic we want to use every day.
