Why not choose a traditional sunscreen
The sun's harmful UV rays are an intense stress on our skin, especially if we expose it to toxic substances while trying to protect it. How is that? Yes, most of the traditional sunscreens are unsafe, not consciously constructed formulas, to varying degrees, but very often they contain ingredients that are harmful to skin and health. So it's worth choosing carefully. DRHAZI sunscreen takes skin protection and youthfulness to a new level.
The details: why not choose a traditional sunscreen
1) Endocrine disrupting sunscreens:
A substance called Homosalete has been shown in several studies to affect the endocrine system, affecting the estrogen, androgen and progesterone systems. Homosalete and the other substances listed are recommended for avoidance by the Environmental Working Group, as are all other sunscreens that affect the endocrine system.
2) Titanium dioxide nano
The nano particles penetrate the skin. Often, nano ingredients appear in sunscreens, while we are not fully aware of their effects. There has been a lot of research on this substance with worrying results. Nano Titanium Dioxide is known to be toxic to cells.
3) Light-responsive vitamin A derivative: Retinyl Palmitate
The assessment of Retinyl Palmitate is also not clear. There is only one animal study that gives cause for concern (although it was commissioned by the US government): it found that retinyl palmitate even accelerated the development of melanoma when exposed to light. To be on the safe side, we recommend avoiding sunscreens - buy sunscreens that don't contain it instead!
4) Spray formats
Several sunscreen ingredients are harmful if inhaled, while they are harmless when applied to the skin. We don't want to burden you with another ingredient list, so we suggest a simple rule of thumb: avoid the spray format and take a few minutes to slather on!
5) Other harmful ingredients
Sunscreens also contain many other harmful ingredients used in other products. Many tests on baby sunscreens have shown that BHT is a particularly common ingredient, but some parabens may also appear as a preservative. Avoid these substances!
Criteria for an effective sunscreen cosmetic
- helps to protect the skin naturally - supports the production of brown melanin
- increases the skin's ability to protect against UV radiation (cellular protection)
- adequate light protection (physical protection)
- reduces the ageing of the skin
- properly moisturises and nourishes the skin
- safe to use (does not contain synthetically produced chemicals, chemical sunscreens, preservatives and fragrances, or skin damaging substances such as mineral oils)
DRHAZI sunscreens are formulated with natural plant oils and extracts in the base formulation to provide cellular protection, while the special biotechnology sunscreen complex provides physical protection to the skin. In addition, all the ingredients in our formulations support skin functions, helping the skin to restore its own defenses and maintain its youthfulness.
