Mental health is the foundation for a fulfilled life
How can we avoid becoming the pawns of manipulation, of human games? It is a difficult task. My experience is that our mental health - to live in a positively realistic and at least on an individual level happy world - is a big challenge today.
There is a high level of manipulation in the world. It can be conscious and premeditated, but it can also be unconsciously harmful and even well-intentioned. In many cases, we only realise later that we have again been the victim of manipulation that is destroying our lives.
In many cases, we can also see that escaping from reality can be a good way to achieve a "pretended happiness", and today, unrealism and masking, which is mostly fuelled by the media, have become common. As a result, many people prefer to believe their "more advanced", "leading" fellow human beings, the media's news, rather than their own experience, common sense or their own inner compass.
Why is this important?
Numerous studies have already shown that our mental balance has a big impact on the state of our immune system.
Strive for moderation in reading and listening to news about the spread of the virus. Of course, information from a reliable source is important to protect ourselves and our loved ones, but excessive media consumption can lead to anxiety and panic. Even for older people, stress and panic are much more dangerous than the coronavirus.
Medical support groups have also been set up, such as Trauma Centre
Let us learn from our past experiences, if we realise that we have been manipulated, let us try to return to our simple, safe basics, to reality. This always causes stress, but fortunately, it also develops us intensely, so that we can be empowered in a positive way, and eventually we can live a harmonious life in the face of increasing stress...
NOW MORE THAN EVER, WE NEED TO FIND WAYS TO DE-STRESS!
- Whatever little time we have to ourselves, let's make the most of it, revitalising both body and soul. Even more, let's look for the positive and joyful. Healing music, nature, loving relationships are all there for this.
- Humour can also be a great help, it has often pulled me out of my lowest points. Optimism, dealing with things with humour, has been shown in many experiments to lead to significant improvements in quality of life, and even increases in longevity. Stress can also be better managed if we try to maintain our zest for life in the face of adversity.

When we laugh, physical changes occur in our bodies that suddenly make us feel good," explains humor expert Dr. Diana L. Mahony, who teaches psychology at Brigham Young University in Laie, Hawaii. She believes that a key to protecting and strengthening the immune system is mood-relieving laughter.
Use it, day in, day out!
These immune-boosting changes are proof that the power of the mind can keep the body - specifically the immune system - functioning effectively. Regular laughter and cheerfulness thus contribute to a healthy, productive life: it helps fight infections, dilates blood vessels, speeds up the body's regeneration and improves overall health. Activity in a specific area of the brain triggers laughter, and a hearty laugh helps keep defence-weakening stress hormones away from immune cell receptors. Heart rate and blood pressure drop and muscles relax.
