When is skin resurfacing needed?

Most women who choose DRHAZI cosmetics have already had a lot of experience, they have tried many synthetic and natural cosmetics, but their complexion remains problematic. Most of them "struggle" with skin sensitivity or rosacea, others with T-zone problems or acne. Many also react with irritation to 100% natural and effective rejuvenating cosmetics.

Our experience and research shows that the underlying cause of these problems is a shift in skin balance and the resulting skin infection. This is when a skin renewal treatment is needed to restore the skin's harmony.

WHAT IS A HEALTHY COMPLEXION?

As a natural shield, it can select the active ingredients - it lets in just enough of each and as much as it needs. It naturally protects us from toxins.

True, its protective function is limited and negative environmental influences, the use of harmful personal care products, inadequate nutrition or even stress can cause the skin to lose its ability to do its job. This can lead to various skin problems and premature ageing.

There are basically two types of skin, healthy normal skin and 'diseased' skin. Healthy skin is the skin that can be rejuvenated and the other skin conditions need to be normalised first.

A young healthy complexion:

  • velvety to the touch, with closed pores and an even surface
  • has a lush colour due to good blood circulation and an optimal thickness of the stratum corneum
  • perfectly balanced fat and water content
  • normal melanin formation, resulting in a uniform colour
  • a dull shine, clear and closed pores are the result of sebum production in the right quantity and composition and flawless scaling
  • its velvetiness is due to the sufficient water content of the surface emulsion and the healthy relaxation hairs
  • elasticity is due to adequate hydration of the hide, the right proportion of elastic fibres, skin density and muscle tone

Naturally, as we age, healthy skin changes, so we can support it with proper care and treatment, which is what anti-ageing products are all about.

In our experience, the basis for treating the deviation from healthy skin, i.e. normalising the skin, is to restore skin balance, which can only be achieved with substances and treatments that are beneficial to the human body. Synthetic products may temporarily treat the symptoms, but they do not restore the skin balance, and in fact...

The medicinal properties of herbal substances are now well known, but the use of intensive herbal active substances also requires caution. We need to know which ones to use for skin care and which ones to use for skin normalisation.

In the case of imbalanced skin, i.e. damaged skin, intense botanicals can also be harmful because they can be absorbed into micro-wounds where they don't belong and cause irritation. The damaged skin surface is not always visible to the naked eye because these lesions can be microscopic in size. It is the symptomatic signs, the skin sensitivity, the tendency to irritation, which are indicative of its presence.

The plastic and mineral oil-based cosmetics, strong synthetic surfactants, body care and cleansing products of the last hundred years have created serious general skin damage and imbalances. Today, on average 80% of women suffer from some degree of skin sensitivity.

Most people are satisfied for a short time with the cosmetics they are currently using - even very expensive professional cosmetics - but after a short period of time, sensitivity and irritation often develop. Then when they want to switch to cosmetics containing pure, natural, precious plant oils, their skin may react with inflammation and irritation.

This can happen because the intense plant substances are absorbed into the micro-wounds where they should not be and cause irritation. On the other hand, synthetic substances may cause a skin balance shift, but they do not nourish the microscopic organisms living on the skin.

For example, the Demodex mite, which can be found on healthy skin and normally lives in symbiosis with us, can easily multiply on skin with an imbalance because the pure oils in natural cosmetics provide an excellent source of nutrition. Excessive presence causes serious damage to the physiology and structure of the skin. The skin may react with inflammation, irritation and even increased skin sensitivity.

That's why it's common for natural cosmetics to fail, some people go back to synthetic products, and the persistent ones keep trying...

Over the last 150 years, many researchers have studied the natural organisms that live on the skin and discovered that, like the gut flora, the skin has a natural flora. These organisms normally live in symbiosis with us, but if they are given space for any reason, they can overgrow and cause damage to the physiology and structure of the skin. One such organism is the Demodex mite, which can be detected on healthy skin.

It is an achievement in this field that, after many years of serious research, dermatology accepted and declared in 2012 that rosacea is caused by a species of Demodex mite, Demodex brevis.

Other research is currently underway around the world and it is becoming increasingly clear from the publications that the shift in skin balance is providing a breeding ground for these organisms to proliferate and produce skin sensitisation initially and then acne, rosacea or other skin lesions depending on the individual's sensitivity.

If you want healthy and beautiful skin, your primary goal should be to restore skin balance, because healthy skin is what rejuvenates, and other skin conditions need to be normalised first. This may require different skincare and cosmetics depending on the individual, depending on the symptoms of the skin.

DRHAZI cosmetics are 100% natural, skin-zone based formulations, which, when used correctly, can provide excellent skin renewal.
