Potato diet

Potato diet

There is a strong link between the beauty of our skin and the state of our digestive system. Even with healthy skin, I like to recommend occasionally relieving the digestive system to cleanse and regenerate it. In such cases, a diet of a few days a month is also beneficial. And even more important for diseased skin, as it can be an excellent way to help the body regenerate, and you can even go on a course of several weeks.

It is a mildly alkalizing detox diet. The effect is to eliminate the accumulation of oedema and inflammatory substances in the body. Tissues are relieved, circulation is improved and you feel fitter and more energetic.

It is excellent for detoxification and renewal for 1-4 weeks on its own, because it intensively relieves the load from the digestive system, so it can regenerate perfectly.

THE MAIN RULES TO FOLLOW

  • During the cure, salt should be reduced or even eliminated (if you cannot eat completely salt-free, use a pinch of sea salt with your food).
  • You should drink at least 2.5 to 3 litres of mineral water a day.
  • Preferably eat only a small amount of fruit in the evening and especially not puffy fruit (avoid stone fruit such as plums, peaches, cherries and grapes).
  • Don't eat too many bananas, sweet or dried fruit.
  • It is forbidden to eat fries (pomes, French fries) during the cure!
  • do not eat meat and sweets during the cure!
  • salads should preferably be made with fresh vegetables, or frozen.
  • do not use canned food, powdered soups!
  •  For salads, use lemon juice instead of vinegar, a little cold-pressed oil, or natural spices and seeds (flaxseed, walnuts, almonds, etc.).
  • Do not put any mayonnaise dressing on salads.
  • You can have any kind of vegetable soup at lunchtime, but do not use artificial flavourings (bouillon cubes, powders, etc.), fat, meringue or stir-fry.
  • Sometimes potatoes can be replaced by unsalted cooked brown rice.
  • Do not drink alcohol during the course of the cure!

SOME GOOD ADVICE

  1. Salt foods very minimally (if possible, omit it altogether) and give preference to low-sodium salt.
  2. Chew everything very carefully.
  3. Potatoes can also be substituted with brown rice or pulses.
  4. Between meals, fruit, herbal teas, liquid and freshly centrifuged juices are available.
  5. You should exercise for half an hour a day (outdoors if possible) during the treatment.
  6. Go for a sauna and massage 1-2 times a week.
  7. Always dilute juices with still mineral water.
  8. If possible, drink only freshly pressed or organic juices.
  9. Recommended cleansing tea blend: dandelion, dandelion, elderberry, nettle, hibiscus, birch leaf. Boil 2 tablespoons in 1 litre of water, then strain after 10 minutes and flavour with 1 tablespoon of honey. Sip it during the day.
  10. If you want to cleanse your digestive system, drink it in the morning on an empty stomach
  •  2 dl bitter herbal water (Mira, József Ferencz)
  •  2 dl diluted prune juice
  •  2 dl diluted sauerkraut juice (unsalted!)

EDIBLE FOOD

These are just a sample, of course you can also eat other fruits and vegetables depending on the season. You can also interchange the days and even follow the sample below to freely adapt your diet within the rules and advice above!

For breakfast, 2-3 slices of corn Abonett or rice with butter or avocado cream. You can also eat corn (kornflex), rice cereal (unsweetened, no colouring or artificial additives!) instead of the above.
