Let's find the perfect foundation!

What should a perfect foundation look like?

A good foundation alone can make your morning happy, but a bad one can ruin your whole day. How to choose? Why choose a safe, natural foundation?

I. The most dangerous impulsive way to choose a foundation is based on the packaging. Even with the most reputable brands, be critical when choosing a foundation. Why choose a natural foundation? Most skin damaging substances are found in the excipients of foundations.

  • silicones are strong toxins for the skin
  • perfumes are the most likely to cause stubborn pigmentation and photo-damage on our face
  • and pigments containing heavy metals can poison us at the cellular level

For example, waterproof foundations are not the best choice for your health, because they contain more silicone than the average (dimethicone, cyclomethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, etc.), which makes the makeup last, but underneath the skin suffocates and wrinkles.

Therefore, the first and most important thing is to choose a natural foundation that contains healthy, beneficial ingredients.

II. The second most important thing is always to determine your skin type when choosing a foundation.

For those with dry skin, unless you have a serious blemish that you should definitely mask, a plain BB cream will do.

BB = Beauty Balm = tinted moisturizer = tinted beautifying, rejuvenating face cream

When you choose a high-tech natural BB cream, you can be sure that it will be full of skin-replete, replenishing, nourishing, cellular regenerating ingredients, as well as beautifully covering up skin imperfections.

If you feel that your skin feels dull and lifeless, choose a brightening foundation that contains tiny reflective pigment particles. This will keep you looking fresh and refreshed even after a night of partying. Natural rejuvenating foundations also provide excellent sun protection. The oil-rich versions of the natural foundations provide SPF50+++ protection, while the natural anti-age foundations, which are facial rejuvenating BB creams, provide SPF 30+++.

They beautify, protect and regenerate the skin!

The best antidote to oily and problem skin is a good quality mattifying foundation. Make sure it's oil-free, has good coverage - and lasts in real life. At least until the end of your working day. Because it's really hard to find a foundation that can actually last longer without being re-powdered. The hardest thing is to find one that doesn't dry out your skin, which means it's great at hydrating and moisturising while managing increased oiliness.

That's why high-tech natural make-up can be a good choice, and it's worth a try, because you can see and feel the positive difference immediately.

The powders and their counterparts

Be careful with powder, because if you apply too much, you can easily get a mask-like effect. A natural, soft, translucent powder that doesn't alter the colour of the foundation, but just tones it down a little, and its softness doesn't dry out the skin, but rather makes it silky.

Compact natural foundations with a powdery texture (you apply the foundation and the cream absorbs, leaving a fine powdery layer that gives good coverage) - good for almost all skin types. Especially in the summer, they are ideal for those with oily skin in hot weather, as they mattify the face beautifully for hours.

Rejuvenating primer?

Beyond 40, discerning women prefer a combination foundation that beautifies, balances, conceals imperfections and nourishes, rejuvenates and even wrinkles the skin. For mature skin, be sure to use a lifting natural foundation or BB cream that covers mimic wrinkles without "settling" into them. If it also smooths out the skin, that's extra super!

The modern, high-tech tinted creams meet the highest demands: they renew skin with the power of 16 nanopeptides and wrinkle-fighting, while providing perfect coverage and sun protection.

II. Once we've thought about our skin type, it's time to determine our skin colour. Primers generally come in three broad colour ranges: pink, yellowish-beige and brownish.

A big advantage of the organic pigments in this natural foundation is that they adapt very well to the skin. So it's not mainly the skin tone that determines which shade you choose, but the result you want.

  • fashionable and many people look good with a rice-powdery, almost porcelain white complexion, which can be achieved with a natural tone
  • the most natural is the beige tone, where you can almost see how beautiful you have become, the foundation itself almost disappears on the skin, leaving a natural beauty
  • if you want to look tanner, you should try a caramel or even chocolate tone, because you can give your skin a darker tone without tanning if it suits you

If you can't find a foundation that perfectly matches your skin tone, you can mix two shades. But never blend it on your face, mix it in a small jar - or on your hands after thoroughly washing them.

Practicality is also important!

For those morning makeup rushes, the most practical liquid natural foundation is a pump. These are usually lightweight and can be applied quickly without the need for applicators. They even out skin tone beautifully. Also, if they are in an airless vacuum jar, they retain their good quality for a long time.

Once you've got the foundation of your dreams in hand, you're ready to get started on your makeup look. The first step is to thoroughly cleanse your face, then moisturise. Don't skip this, even if you have oily skin, otherwise your make-up will get stuck in your pores (especially if you're one of those types): and you'll look like a prehistoric dinosaur in a few hours. Once you've applied the right moisturiser or serum for your skin type, it's time for foundation.

You'll need different shades for summer and winter: but it's best not to go two shades darker than your skin tone, This is also a rule for concealer, which shouldn't be just a little lighter, as it can create a cute panda effect that you don't want.

A good foundation can be applied with a brush, a sponge or easily by hand, because it's nice and even on the skin. The key is to always work it in from the T-line, working outwards from your nose. If you're using a darker shade, it's advisable to double-check at the window before you leave home to make sure it's evenly applied at the hairline, the nostrils and the chin and neckline.

DRHAZI Tip: Use a slightly darker foundation on the part of your face you want to narrow, and a lighter one on the part you want to highlight. To do this, just buy a 5 ml Tester!

And remember - less is sometimes more! Natural, nourishing, rejuvenating foundations are best for those who want to enhance their natural beauty!
