Most common skin types

Healthy skin is called normal skin, all skin that is not, is classified by science into categories - of course there are several - but we will describe a general one.

DRHAZI believes that everyone's complexion would be normal if we were healthy and our bodies were in harmony. Then skin texture and function would also be healthy. With our methods and active cosmetics, we aim to achieve the best skin for everyone!

Normal skin

Normal skin is velvety to the touch, has closed pores and an even, luminous colour, with a perfect balance of oil and water. Its freshness comes from good circulation and an optimally thick stratum corneum. The melanin formation is normal, resulting in a uniform colour. The dull shine, the clarity and tightness of the pores are the result of the right amount and composition of sebum production and flawless graying. Its velvetiness is due to the sufficient water content of the surface emulsion and the healthy hairs of the resin. Its elasticity is due to the adequate hydration of the hide, the right proportion of elastic fibres, the tightness of the skin and the right muscle tone.

Oily skin

Oily seborrhoea - It has a greasy, shiny, pale colour, often with a yellowish, oily tinge. In the midline of the face, but not infrequently all over the face, there are many greyish-black comedos (midges) which are easily removable. The sebum has an increased oleic acid content and the shiny layer covering the surface of the skin inhibits skin respiration. The sebum stimulates the sloughing process, causing the hair follicles to become blocked, preventing the sebum from being discharged and creating small sebum plugs (comedos). When neglected, it is interspersed with blackheads and acne.

Dry seborrhoea - Pale, pale greyish colour, with wide pores, scaly, flaky, oily, rough to the touch. The proportion of cholesterol esters in the sebum is increased, resulting in a hard consistency of the comedones, with more scaling than oily seborrhea, and therefore little sebum is deposited on the skin surface. It is often 'stretched' and inflamed. After cleansing, it often reacts like oily skin and is often confused with it - with potentially serious consequences due to the different treatment of the two. Unlike oily skin, it is full of black and white comedones that are difficult to shed.

Dry seborrhea is always accompanied by a lack of surface water. As the emulsion on the surface of the skin is inadequate, it cannot perform its function perfectly. The skin becomes more sensitive and often develops what is known as seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Skin lacking fat

The colour is matte but lush. Tightly closed pores, slightly rough to the touch. Comedo (blackheads) are very rare. There is a slight peeling on the surface. Flexible. Reacts to weather extremes by flushing. Many people mistakenly call it 'dry skin' or confuse it with dandruffy seborrheic skin, which has similar symptoms and belongs to the oily group. The production of sebum and sebum oil is reduced in oily skin, which changes the composition of the skin's surface emulsion and therefore its inability to prevent water loss. Oily skin is therefore associated with water deficiency.

Dry skin

Faded in colour, with a rough surface, flabby, sometimes stringy to the touch. Elasticity and tone reduced. Wrinkles prematurely. Dry skin is more sensitive to external influences, often peeling, reddening and easily damaged. In its narrow pores, it may develop thread-like needle-like needles (tiny black hair-like midges). In addition to the epithelium, the skin and dermis also lose water content. It is always combined with a surface water deficit.

Sensitive skin

Sensitive skin is not so much a skin type as a gift. Today, more than 63% of women have sensitive skin. The reasons include environmental pollution, poor diet, stress and, not least, cosmetic products containing harmful chemicals. Sensitive skin reacts more strongly to all the stresses that affect it. It immediately reddens in cold weather and can also burn and peel in weak sunlight.

Mature skin

There comes a time in every person's life when the first small wrinkles appear. As a result of improper skin care, signs can start to show even in your twenties. In women, the hormonal changes that occur during menopause cause the skin to lose a lot of moisture and become not only more wrinkled but also parchment-like and perpetually thirsty.

Combined skin types

In practice, it is very rare for each skin type to occur independently. Most of the time they combine in a variety of different ways. Seborrhoea, for example, is most common on the pectoral area, the chin-nose-thigh line and the mid-back. Water deficiency can occur in all skin types except normal skin. Fat deficiency is most common on the cheeks and around the eyes. Its treatment is also combined: it is appropriate for the particular skin type in the particular area. It is best to do it on an individual, personalised basis.
