Lessons for good relationships
In many cases, we are hurt when we are treated badly and therefore become part of other people's games. These few thoughts can help us to manage our relationships appropriately and try to live our everyday lives as a way of being ourselves in difficult situations. The goal is to only engage in play that we feel comfortable with.
- There will always be people in your life who don't treat you well. Be thankful for that, because it makes you stronger.
- If someone treats you badly, remember: it's them, not you. Healthy people do not destroy each other.
- When it hurts, listen. Life is trying to teach you something.
- There are three solutions to every problem: accept, change or let go. If you can't accept it, change it. If you can't change it, let it go.
- Don't feel bad because some people only think of you when they need you. Feel privileged that you are the candle in their mind that lights when their mind is dark.
- Allow people to judge you. Allow yourself to be misunderstood. Allow people to gossip about you. What they think about you is not your problem. Their opinion doesn't affect who you are. Stay kind, love persistently and be a free individual.... whatever they say or do, never doubt your worth and the beauty of the truth. Keep shining and let the haters hate.
- No matter how educated, talented, cool or rich you think you are, the way you treat others says everything about you. Honesty is everything.
- The less you care what people think of you, the happier you'll be.
- Silence is the best response to someone who does not appreciate your words.
- If you think everything is someone else's fault, you will suffer a lot. Then when you understand that everything comes from you, you will find peace and joy.
- Where there is no respect, there is no love.
- Relationships never die a natural death. They are killed by ego, rejection and attitude.
